St. Mary's Choir
We are blessed with an exceptional music program at St. Mary's, led by
Organist and Music Director Wayne Cornwall.
Some excuses we've heard for not joining the Choir...
 | "I can't sing."
Only 1 in 50,000 people is tone deaf. You can sing. |
 | "I can't read music."
Most of can't either ... and see how easily we fooled you. |
 | "I'd be too nervous to stand up in front of everyone."
So stand in the second row - that's what we all try to do. |
 | "I don't have time."
Two hours on Thursday nights 7:00-9:00. Summers off. Sunday ... well, you're here
anyway. |
Some reasons for joining the Choir...
 | We're a fun group. Sometimes we're so busy laughing and
chatting, Wayne has to remind us to sing. We also have two awesome potluck
parties, families included, at Christmas and beginning of summer. |
 | Singing is good for you. It lifts the spirits, relieves
stress, increases your oxygen level. In this case there is the added benefit
of praising God. |
 | No wardrobe or weight concerns on Sunday mornings - those
blue gowns cover everything. |
 | No waiting for communion; best viewing spot for baptisms;
first out for coffee. |
St. Mary's has a long and prestigious choral tradition. If you
love to sing, the choir would
enthusiastically welcome you. Please come give us a try. Children are
welcome in our Youth Choir; practices are Thursday evenings at 6:00. Or, if you play an
instrument and would like to share your gift, please contact Wayne.
